THE HISTORICAL FLEET EMBANKMENT The Museum of the World ocean is a central museum in Russia which presents the history of exploration and study of the World ocean. The museum heritage is unique not only for Russia but also for the world practice. There are vessels of naval, scientific, space and icebreaker fleet. The main achievement of the museum is a creation of the historical fleet Embankment in Kaliningrad where the scientific-research vessel Vitiaz, the ship of space communication Kosmonavt Viktor Patsaev, the museum submarine B-413 and the medium catching trawler SRT-129 are moored. The icebreaker Krasin became the department of the museum on February 12, 2004 in Saint-Petersburg; it has been a monument of the shipbuilding history of a federal level since 1992. Moreover, the museum possesses a unique archeological finding the “Ship of the XIX Century”, submersible manned vehicles Pisces and Tetis, a yacht Folksbot (the1950-s), a hydrographic launch, sloops from the bark Kruzenstern, a deckhouse of a submarine of the project 613, a yawl (the open museum territory) and operating launch and yawl. The historical fleet Embankment, situated in the centre of Kaliningrad is a place of attraction for all the citizens and tourists. | ||
